Does scaling the Fabric Capacity cause any issues for Copilot?

Hey i have  a report in a workspace, previously it was in a fulltime F64 capacity and i could use all the functionalities. Recently i've moved the workspace to a new capapcity that runs all the time on F2, but i can scale it up to F64. But can not use Copilot, though i scale the capacity to F64.

It shows me "Either non of your workspaces have the right capacity, or you don't have the right permission"

Can you suggest me any solutions?

Hi @Ikramul_Islam ,

Your base capacity should be P1 or F64 and i don't think with autoscale open AI services will be enabled in your premium capacity.

I hope it will be helpful.

Thanks,

Sai Teja

@Ikramul_Islam I agree with @SaiTejaTalasila, I don't believe the correct fine print is included with the Microsoft documentation of the requirements or you basically just have to assume. You have to purchase an F64 SKU, not scale up to an F64 SKU from a purchased F2 SKU. Would be great if it actually worked that way but alas, Microsoft is making CoPilot stupidly expensive on almost all fronts. And, it's generally just not as good as OpenAI or most other alternatives out there due to all the guard rails put on it.

Thnaks @Greg_Deckler. Now i can assume this😅

Hi @Greg_Deckler ,

Yes, you are right. Currently in our organisation it is in POC stage I don't think they will enable it for every user as it is going to use the memory from premium capacity too.

Thanks,

Sai Teja

Thnaks @SaiTejaTalasila. You are right. I tested it on my tenant.

Hi @Ikramul_Islam ,

Whatever you have asked is the common question we receive from our client users.Even the price will be different if you are going with a reserved capacities and if your organisation have good understanding with Microsoft team.

Thanks,

Sai Teja
