Does Oracle AWS SDU Cloud require gateway connection?

Hi,

  We have a oracle on premise database. Now we are migrating data from on-premise to AWS SDU cloud. I have recived the Host, SID and Port details from DBA and able to connect the same in Power BI Desktop successfully. But it is asking me to provide the gateway connction in service. 

I do remember, somewhere i read Power BI does not require gateway connection for cloud DB. Can you please help?

Not only does this require a gateway, it also requires a gateway that sits in AWS!

Only cloud data sources that are freely accessible from Azure do not require a gateway.
