Hi,
The admin who created reports is not with us anymore. The report was created by and published to the BI workspace. There are 3 more people including me who are admins of the same workspace. We would like to manage and schedule refresh for the dataset of all those reports the admin created and don't seem to have permission. When we click on the dots next to dataset we dont see 'schedule refresh' option. How do we schedule data refresh for all those reports that use this dataset?
Thanks
Hi @jxs5455
As Seth_C_Bauer said, the users who can refresh a dataset should be added to the users list of the gateway setting.
Reference:
Manage users and administrators for a gateway
Migrate, restore, or take over a gateway
Best Regards
Maggie
I was able to go to the gateway settings in our workspace and click on the dataset tab and change the refresh schedule.
"Take over" is something new that I learnt from this conversation and I did see two datasets that had the "take over" button.
Thanks a lot for replying.
@jxs5455 First, I would ensure you are users on the gateway for the particular data sources that are contained within the dataset. Then, you should have the option to "Take Over" the dataset. This would then prompt you for any needed credentials, or utilize the gateway data source, depending on what your sources are.
