Do I need gateway for Rest API calls to Power BI for embedding content in my on premise application

Consuming Power BI Rest API itself doesn't need the PBI gateway. Whether or not you really need one is depending on your data sources: On-premises data sources or Online data sources? For more details, you can refer to this article. Smiley Happy
