Discrepancy in Table Visibility Between SQL Database and SQL Analytics Endpoint

Hello everyone,

I've encountered an issue in SQL Database Fabric where some tables I created and loaded in the SQL database are missing when I try to view them in the SQL analytics endpoint. In the SQL database, I can see all the tables I created, but when I switch to the SQL analytics endpoint, a few tables are not visible.

I've attached two screenshots for reference:

  1. Screenshot from the SQL database panel showing all tables.

  2. Screenshot from the SQL analytics endpoint highlighting the missing tables.

Could someone help explain why this is happening and how I can fix it?

Hi v-veshwara-msft,

Thank you for the inputs you have provided. The below two points doesnt apply to my case. But third might be the reason why the tables are not fully created. Still it doesnt solve my problem.I have raised ticket with microsft to get my issue addressed.

Thanks,

Jyotip

Hi @jyotip ,
Thanks for getting back.

Since the first two points don’t apply and the third could be a possible reason, raising a support ticket with Microsoft is the best course of action.

Please do share any insights or solutions you receive from Microsoft, it could help others facing a similar issue.

Thank you.

Hi @jyotip ,
Thanks for posting in Microsoft Fabric Community,

1.The issue could be due to a synchronization lag between the SQL Database and the SQL Analytics Endpoint. Newly created or updated tables may take some time to appear in the analytics endpoint.
2. A schema mismatch might also be the cause. You may need to update the schema of your tables or address any inconsistencies to ensure all tables are correctly reflected in the INFORMATION_SCHEMA.TABLES.
3. If the initial table loads were delayed due to resource limitations, some tables might not have been successfully created. This could result in the tables existing in the SQL Database but not being fully formed or accessible.
Please refer this link for limitations in sql analytics endpoint:

If none of the above reasons apply or resolve the issue, please raise a support ticket with Microsoft  for further investigation.

If this post helps, then please consider Accept it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly.

Best Regards.
