hi ,
I am trying to disable the "explore this data(preview) option that shows on the visuals in powerbi report.
I checked the option in powerbi report, service and even the workspace there is no option to disable the same.
Please le us know if it is linked to any specific user type for which we can do that or read only user.
The user should not be able to preview the data for any visual present in the report.
My Report has a fabric based content report.

Thanks for the reply from Greg_Deckler, please allow me to provide another insight.
Hi @Anonymous ,
You can assign the user the Viewer workspace role or read access to the semantic model.
The "Explore this data" option will then be disabled for that user.

What happen if you don't what to gave them access to the workspace (because you don't want them to see the other element of the workspace)? I have a situation here where we only gave "read" permission to the dataset, and share a specific report, but then the user end up having access to the "explore this data option", which is not intended.

@Anonymous I am not aware of any tenant setting to disable that feature.
