So I've been looking into deployment pipelines and all avenues seem to be leading to having to upgrade our entire set up to premium to utilise this (Seemingly basic) feature. Have IO got this right? I have upgraded my acct to PPU but all the other users are pro and these pipelines apparently only deploy to workspaces that can only be accessed by premium users.
If this is the case, first of all what an absolute waste of time and money to find this out. Secondly, how am supposed to manage CI/CD and source control without upgrading everything and paying at least twice as much as we already are?
I have no option for either sharepoint or OneDrive in my D365 account. Why is everything made so difficult and focussed around getting us onto the most expensive package which is eye wateringly overpriced. Why was none of this mentioned at the procurement stage? Is this really a good profit operation model? Come on?
@Anonymous you can leverage the Power BI APIs to automate deployment processes.
see here for example- Versioning and CI/CD for Power BI with Azure DevOps – Data – Marc (data-marc.com)
This is just the latest time wasting brick wall in series a brick walls that I have to try and scale every single day with this product. Not to mention the bugs
