I am looking at helping someone use Deployment Pipelines
They are admin on Dev Test and Prod workspaces.
They are the owner of the dataflow
We can get the dataflow across no problems. However when we try with the data set we get this
So the error is not helping.
When I look at the Owner for the data set it says [Project Name Dev] So she isnt the owner. We have it connected to Sharepoint
So it updates without needing to publish.
I thought we could try doing a publish to see if that changes the owner. but couldnt
So the Question is, am I missing something or is the fact we are connected to the Sharepoint workspace mean that we can't push Dev to Test in the Deployment Pipeline
If thats the case then I think there might be an issue. Meaning that if you want to update using deployment pipelines you can't connect to the Sharepoint folder at all and have to deploy manually.
Could someone shed any light on this at all?

I have found the solution
It looks like these reports used to be outside of Premium. They were trying to do Dev Test and Prod environments by having WorkspaceIDs and DataflowID parameters for the dataflows. Then in Power Query Editor changing the parameters to the correct workspace environment.
And now they have moved to Premium Workspace with deployment pipelines and they kept this logic in and The deployment pipeline can't deal with it
To resolve I re added the actual workspace ID into each query. then removed the parameter and republished and it worked
Hi @DebbieE ,
Sorry for my mistake, I double checked the icm and found that the problem is different from yours, the icm is known to be unable to deploy to Test.
