Date slicer does not update after refresh in Service

Hi.

When I refresh the workbook manually via Desktop, the "To" date updates accordingly:-

However, in Service it does not.  The "To" date remains the same day-after-day.  We have this on a daily refresh.  Is this a bug, or am I missing a setting?

Many thanks.

Depends on how you set the default value when you published it.

Get rid of the slicer and use the Filter Pane instead, it supports relative Date filters.

Hi @Power_It_Up.

Thank you  for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.
Thank you @lbendlin, for your reply regarding the issue.

If you want the "To" date to update daily in Service, use relative date filters like today last 1 day in the filter pane, not in the slicer with fixed values. make sure your dataset refresh is happening properly in the Service. The slicer does not reset itself to a fresh date after refresh  it keeps the selection made earlier unless you use measures or relative filters.
I hope my suggestions provided valuable insights. If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to ask in a follow-up message.
