Hi All,
I used an Azure SQL Server connection with DirectQuery mode to create a report. After publishing the report in Power BI Service, I entered the data source credentials in the settings, and I received a popup message saying that the data source credentials were updated successfully. However, after a few hours, if I try to open the report again, I encounter the below issue. I enter the data source credentials again to make it work, but the problem reoccurs after a few hours.
Is there any way to update or view the username and password in the data source credential settings. Could you please provide some solution to fix this issue.
Thanks in advance.

Hi @Anonymous ,
According to the description of the error message, it is possible that the user does not have the necessary permissions to perform a SELECT operation on the specified object.
You need to check if the data source corresponding to your report is given the right permissions? Or the user who is getting the data does not have proper permissions to read the data on the table.
