Hi all
I have been able to get the Service now working with the API URL's but when I go to scheduel the refresh of the dataset in the service it comes back saying that datasource cannot be refreshed and to update the credentials.
So I can click on Edit credentials for each Web data source but the authentication method is Basic with the token as the username and the password as nothing. Whilst this works perfectly fine in Desktop and is configured this way when it comes to the service I can enter in the token as the username but it will not let me leave the password blank.
Does anyone know a way to resolve this please?
Simon

Hi. This can be tricky because it will depend on the API. I have connected in different ways like this. One option would be entering anything to password, if the API really captures the users name it won't matter. The second one is going the other way around, use the token in the password leaving the username blank (that worked for me with DevOps API for example).
I hope one of those helps

Thank you so much for this. I had already tried the token in the password field instead and that certainly did not work. However didn't think to just put anything in the password field with the token as the username. Did that and now it is all working nicely. Thanks again!
