Hi all,
I've set-up a workspace to have Privacy settings = "Members can only view Power BI content". The datasets and reports contained in this workspace have RLS enabled. My understanding was that Members of the group (not Admins) would not be able to even view, let alone download, the datasets.
Interstingly, some of my users assigned as members cannot see the Datasets (or Workbooks/Dataflows), while others can see everything (and download!). This flip-flops sporatically, I can't understand it. Is this a known bug/am I misunderstanding the purpose of the View-Only privacy settings?
Like everyone, I have sensitive data contained in these datasets that I cannot have users accessing. I've scoured the web but to no avail.
I'd appreciate some education on the subject or any information you can provide.
Thanks!
Hi @Sweet-T,
Please check the permission assigned to workspace members again to make sure they do have view only permission. Besides, did you share reports or dashboards with those members?
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
@Sweet-T hello, you do something wrong!
When you gave acess into workspace, you giving acess to datasets and all reports, but you just limit users to view or edit.
