I can refresh my dataset from the dataflow all day long on my desktop. But, if fails almost instantly once published.
Of course, the message seems rather vague: {"error":{"code":"DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_MashupDataAccessError","pbi.error":
I removed and reinstated the gatway entry and connection. It is mapped to dataflows.
Don't know if it's related, but for some reason if I use the Power BI Dataflows connector, the workspace doesn't appear so that I can select it. If I choose the newer Dataflows, it is visible in my environment.
Has anyone ran into this? If so, any guidance will be appreciated.
Hi @jcampbell474 ,
Please consider sharing more details about it. For example, what is the data source of the dataflow and where is it stored? Which connector are you using to connect to the dataflow?

How to get your questions answered quickly -- How to provide sample data
Okay. Think I figured it out. Will you please confirm?
The Power BI Dataflow connector will use the gateway no matter the credentials used. In other words, the account in the pbix doesn't have to match the account in the gateway (dataflow) entry.
The (PowerPlatform) Dataflow connector will only use the gateway (when published to the service) IF the accounts match.
We do not like this requirement as both accounts have the necessary access/permissions.
Can you confirm you have got the latest version of Power BI Desktop installed?
Also here are more details on the dataflow to ensure that it is not causing any issues?
I'm running the Jan 2022 version of desktop. Also, I even recreated the dataflow. Continue to get the error.
