I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a way to send a "custom" data refresh email?
If we can send one notifying that the refresh succeeded would be nice, but in particular I was hoping to be able to send a custom message if the refresh fails.
The reason why I ask is because we recently installed a PBI gateway. We have a few different departments with different datasets in their own workspace that is refreshing data using the gateway through one connection.
Recently we got an email notifying us that a refresh failed BUT it didnt specify which dataset/workspace the refresh failed in.
So it took me a bit to have to dig through and find which one failed.
It would be immensely helpful if I could be notified that "dataset A in workspace B failed" vs the more generic message I been getting recently
Not sure if anyone else has this issue or has a solution?

The only thing I can think of is it build a dataset using the Power BI REST API, getting down all the refreshes data.
Then create a report off the Power BI REST API data, which can then notify you when a dataset failed.

You can also use this report to see when dataset refreshes worked?
