Dataflow to Tabular Model

Hi,

I have created a new dataflow in PBI service and I would like to include a table from that dataflow into my model using Tabular Editor. I know we can do this simply by duplicating an existing table in Tabular model and change the columns/ properties. Is there a simple way to do this? Any quick help is appreciable as it's quite urgent.

I used the below steps for pushing a table from a dataflow into my model.

  • Open the dataflow in PBI desktop
  • Ensure it has the table to be pushed
  • Open ALM toolkit
  • Use source option as PBI desktop
  • Select the target as dataset - workspace & dataset
  • Click OK
  • Validate the changes in ALM
  • Update changes.

Note: PBI file should be kept open while using ALM. Hope this helps!
