Dataflow (preview): Authenticating error when using sql and web connector (SPO) in same dataflow

Hi!

I have two sources:

    i) An on-prem SQL database (using: Sql.Database)

    ii) An excel workbook residing in SharpointOnline (using: Excel.Workbook(Web.Contents)

If I create a dataflow and first create a query for the excel file (ii) and then the SQL table, everything is ok.

But if I first create the query for the SQL table and then the excel file I am not able to authenticate to Sharepoint Online. The dataflow in this case assumes that the latter query (ii) also uses the gateway specified for the first query:

I tested on my side but not not able to reproduce the issue. After creating a SQL database entity, create a Web entity points to Excel file in SharePoint online, it will display as below:

After saving the dataflow with these two entities, the dataflow can be refreshed successfully. In my test, the on-premises data gateway version is 3000.0.265. Please check your gateway version and update to the same version as ours then test it again.

My gateway is updated. But your post lead me to the solution 🙂

I was using the "Web" connector not the Web-API one. When using the latter it works!
