Hi @vadlamudibi ,

Please refer to the link How to Use Dataflow to Make the Refresh of Power BI Solution FASTER!

Dataflows are only supported using Enterprise Gateways. To use an on-premises data source in a dataflow, any user creating the dataflow must have an Enterprise Gateway installed and configured. The user creating the dataflow also must be the Enterprise Gateway's administrator in order to use that gateway for a dataflow. To learn more about Enterprise Gateways, see On-premises data gateway.

You can also use incremental refresh for dataflow, see more detail:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-dataflows-incremental-refresh.

What's more, if you have a Premium license, you will have access to more or fewer functionalities within Dataflow, see more: https://blogs.solidq.com/en/businessanalytics/power-bi-dataflows-how-does-the-new-tool-work/.
