HI, I have a problem refreshing my First Dataflow on the Power BI Service.
(I have a Premiun per User Licence)
In my Dataflow I have multiple tables from the same data source (SQL Server) and many of them are merged each other or appended.
Even if I can save and close my Dataflow, I can't even refresh it manually.
I've noticed that if I comupute simple trasformations, without using "Merge" or "Append" functions, I can refresh the Dataflows without any problem.
But as soon as I merge two tables, after have closed Power Query Online, I'm not be able to refresh it...
In particular, i get this error message:
Error: On-Prem execution not supported for entity '[my data]' since it refers to another entity.. RootActivityId = '[...]'
Can someone help me with this issue, please?!?
Thank you in advance
Luca.
"I have multiple tables from the same data source (SQL Server) and many of them are merged each other or appended"
Have you considered using a SQL query , a view, or a materialized view for that part?
Thank you Ibendlin for the advise!
I would also know why my dataflow can't refresh if I have computed tables in my dataflow..
Is there something that I have to enable in order to solve this problem??
Thank you in advance
Luca.
what's the error message?
Error: On-Prem execution not supported for entity '[my data]' since it refers to another entity.. RootActivityId = '[...]'
This seems to have the answer:
