Hi
From a workspace, if I choose New > Dataflow > Define New Entities > ODBC
Is there anyway to reference the Data Source Name defined on the gateway instead of the connection string each time?
Even if this can only be changed in the Advanced Editor, I would love to know how.
Thanks in advance.
Oli

Hi @music43
To my knowledge, this is currently not possible to achieve. If this could be achieved, something like parameters storing connection strings should be passed between gateway and dataflow, but there is no such connection now.
I think it's an interesting idea. If realized, it will simplify the settings and reduce repeated operations a lot. You may raise an idea about this at https://ideas.powerbi.com/ideas/
