Database consistency checks (DBCC) failed while checking the...

Hi all as of January 1st i gett following message on dataset refresh on premium capacity:

The session was cancelled because it is connected to a database that is being evicted.
Database consistency checks (DBCC) failed while checking the data segments.
Database consistency checks (DBCC) failed while checking the '24b einkaufspreis (432170)' column.
Database consistency checks (DBCC) failed while checking the 'publisher cockpit (8151)' table.
Database consistency checks (DBCC) failed while checking the '705c4d8f-c1cb-44ea-a5f0-dcba6b7e98d4' database.
An error occurred while attempting to save the dataset (reference ID '705c4d8f-c1cb-44ea-a5f0-dcba6b7e98d4').
Database consistency checks (DBCC) failed while checking the segment statistics.

If i refresh dataset manually from PBI file, all works well

If i remove '24b einkaufspreis' column from dataset, then refresh will work from service again.

I checked '24b einkaufspreis' and there is really nothing wrong with it, it is decimal column coming from Amazon Redshift with precision of 3, and in PBI it is formatted as decimal as well.

Any ide where is this error coming from and how to solve it?

Hi all,

In my case, I reviewed the column that present this issue. This column was a new one using "XLockUp" function, so I added the function "IfError" and the issue gone.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Could you please try to verify if you are able to refresh dataset which only contain this Redshift data source in the same workspace ? Does this problem table has  relations with other tables such as using merge in power query?

If it is an urgent issue, We suggest you to open a ticket here for help if you are a pro user: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/support/

Hi @v-lid-msft

I can refresh this exact same dataset in same workspace if i remove "24b - einkaufspreis" column, and there is nothing wrong with the column. It has the same data type as other columns coming from redshift. Only operation in Power Query is rename, there is no merge

 24b.png

Type in PBI is also decimal, so no confict there

In Data Load options like: Automaticaly detect column types, import relationship, autodetect new relationship are disabled.

I can try with creating a ticket but my experiences are not good so far, as MS support center will support in solving basic cases only as they are trained for 1st level support.

Hi, where you able to fix this issue? I'm getting the same error, the first refresh using the gateway works just fine and then it starts failing. Any help will be appreciated.

Hi @oscarmqz

In my case all my attemps to fix it were unsuccessful, but after one week this problem disapeared. I assume there could be some internal fix from MS side.
