Dear community,
I am facing the follwing issue:
data source = snowflake
error occurs after pivoting the table
Error: Data Source Error : DataSource.Error: Microsoft SQL: Cannot resolve collation conflict between "Latin1_General_100_CI_AS_KS_WS_SC" and "Latin1_General_100_BIN2_UTF8" in add operator for DISTINCT operation. DataSourceKind = <ccon>SQL</ccon> DataSourcePath = <ccon>.\cdsasqlcache;db....
Do you have any ideas?
You are trying to mix case insensitive data (on the left) and case sensitive data (on the right). Your SQL server does not allow that unless you specifically overrride the collation restriction in your query.
If you have recently started exploring Fabric, we'd love to hear how it's going. Your feedback can help with product improvements.
