Hi there.
Trying to make the offline report work in Power BI service.
My report is using an API query to get data from Youtube via Supermetrics (response is in JSON format).
When I upload the file to Service and try to refresh the data source I get the following error message:
Data source error: Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh. |
Since the API key is embedded into the query, I am using the "Anonymous" type of connection.
I can't really understand where to fix this issue.
Could someone please suggest at least a direction?
Hi @YT84
Can you got into the data source settings and configure the data source settings by clicking on Edit Credentials in the Power BI Service for Web
Hi all,
I have the same problem with a work made with Power Bi Desktop, where there are 2 query by Web API call and the authentication is by Api Key. After publication on-line I tried to change dataset authentication but Api key is missing.
Hi @YT84
That means you would need the gateway to configure your data source refreshing!
Hi @YT84
Yes even though it says it is intended for on-premise use in some instances it considers an API call like an on-premise source. So you will have to use the gateway.
