I'm connected to MySQL DB and being asked to provide almost live data (up to 5-15 min), and I have several table within that DB that have 10-15 columns, approx. 1m rows.
I'm facing two issues;
a. I can only set up to 8 automatic refreshses, meaning, I have to press the manual refresh button quite often during the day.
---> Is there a way to increase automatic data refresh frequency ?
b. The refresh takes approximately 6-7 mins.
---> Is that normal ?
---> What can I do to significantly shorten the time ? (I can't remove any rows...)
Thx.
Hi @LiorKerenQ8
If you are connecting using DirectQuery or live connection. So what that means is that everytime you click on something in your report, it is sending a query back to your Database in realtime and returning the results.
Your dashboards are automatically refreshed every 15 minutes, and there is the possibility to change this in the service.
When you use the import connection type, you can only schedule up to 8 times per day.
You can find more details with this here:https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/refresh-data
Premium offers much more refresh times that is because it is in an isolated capacity.
Incremental refresh makes very large datasets refresh faster in the Power BI Premium service.

Maggie
