Hi all, I'm having two issues when uploading a report from PowerBI Desktop onto the Service.
Firstly, in the matrix header on the service is not showing all of the levels of the date filter, however on the desktop it does. Do you know why this is?
Desktop:
Service:
Secondly, users of the report are having issues on the service when they drill down into the data at either the row or column level, the 'Ancillary Revenue' row disappears. On the desktop this does not happen and the data still shows. I keep having to reupload the report to Service and it will reappear, but then once a user changes the filters again it disappears until reuploaded.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Jack
Hi @jackperry61 ,
Are your users resting filters on the report?
As @lbendlin mentioned sometimes educating end-users will be a good idea.
Thanks,

Hello, it is not related to the filters. The data shows in full when I am on the desktop version, and after uploading to Service the data will also show. If I look back in 10 minutes it will have disappeared. I have checked the SQL connections and login credentials and there are no issues - it is only that section of the data that is disappearing.
Do you have a refresh schedule enabled? If yes, then every time you publish from the Power BI Desktop to the workspace a service refresh will be initiated which can lead to differences in the data, most often caused by different timezones, but other times also by parameter differences etc.
That could be another reason for what you observe.
Please read about the difference between Drillthrough and Expand. Educate your users on both concepts.
How unnecessarily unhelpful.
