Data Source Error Blocking Refresh in Web Service

I've got a view in snowflake and I've successfully connected to it in PBI desktop. Everything works fine to that point.
However, once loaded to the web service, refresh fails with this message:

Data source errorExpression.Error: The key didn't match any rows in the table.. Key = <ccon>[Name = "PROD_PUBLISH", Kind = "Database"]. Table = #table({"Name", "Description", "Data", "Kind"}, {}). </ccon>;The key didn't match any rows in the table.. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: RPT_LABOR_DETAIL.

I tested it as the sole data source added to a fresh file with no transformations, and I get the same error.

I then performed the same test with another view within the same snowflkke database and schema and got the same problem.

I then tested a view from a different database (dev_publish.public.timeframes) within the same environment, and it also failed.

However, the original dashboard using the connection to dev_publish.public.timeframes has been refreshing daily just fine

Can anyone suggest what I might be doing worng?

yeah, it was getting all the data in the desktop file, but then wouldn't refresh in the web service. so it was fine to start, but I couldn't schedule refresh.

anyways, it turns out to have been a credentials issue. we've got snowflake locked down to only accept a service accout user from the ips used by the web service.

given that this was the case, I don't understand the error I got initially.

From what you have said it sounds like it is an issue where the data being returned is not expected.

What happens if you create a PBI Desktop file with just this table, refresh it in the Power BI Service and see if it gets all the data?
