Data Models failing after gen2 upgrade for pbi embedded service

Hi,

We recently upgraded our pbi embedded service from gen1 to gen2.

But after the upgrade the nightly refreshes on some datamodel started failing. We tried some changes, reduced data, but still the same. And the weird thing two in one refreshes of same model succcesfully refreshes and that too quick.

We also upgraded the our capacity SKU from A2 to A3. But still  data models fails one in two refreshes. 

Is there a way to revert back to gen1 or a way to fix this issue.

There's a long-standing known issue with dataflow refresh issues in Premium Gen2, it doesn't mention datasets but some people in this forum have seen dataset refreshes randomly stalling too:
