We have ran into an issue where we get "DMTS_PowerBIDataMovementUserDatasourceExceededLimit" error when we are trying to import the template into powerbi.

we run regression with test data daily which is very small probably around few mbs and even that is not working, so I am not sure if it has something to do with Data complexity.

Also, I am able to upload the template manully in powerbi dashboard, we get this issue when using Import endpoint

Any help would be appreciated on this topic, the application was running for 3 years in production and this is the first time we are facing this issue

Thank you for the suggestion, we were able to resolve the issue, the issue was because we had crossed limit of no of datasources allowed per SPN, deleting datasources associated with SPN resolved the issue, another option could have been creatig multiple profiles with the SPN or having multiple SPN.

Currently there are very few error messages about similar errors, you can try testing the import with another version of PBI Desktop to determine if the issue is with the current Desktop version. As well you can try to test importing this file on another client to determine if it is an effect of the current laptop environment.
