Hey, we have tried to setup a on-premises data gateway SQL connection to an azure logic app and are getting the following error when trying to setup the connection :
build 17-Jan-2018 11:41:38 Starting deployment error 17-Jan-2018 11:41:47 New-AzureRmResourceGroupDeployment : 11:41:47 - Resource error 17-Jan-2018 11:41:47 Microsoft.Web/connections 'test-connection' failed with message '{ error 17-Jan-2018 11:41:47 "error": { error 17-Jan-2018 11:41:47 "code": "ConnectionGatewayFailure", error 17-Jan-2018 11:41:47 "message": "Establishing connection with the service failed with code error 17-Jan-2018 11:41:47 'DMTS_EncryptClusterCredentialsErrorCode'." error 17-Jan-2018 11:41:47 } error 17-Jan-2018 11:41:47 }'
We get this same error when trying to do an automated deploy through an ARM template and when manually creating the connection in the logic app.
We have this working in our development environment but now that we have come to try and deploy to production we are running into this issue.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ben
Hi @bsaunders11,
I've ran into the same exception before.
Try recreating the "On-Premises Data Gateway"-object in the Azure Portal and make sure you have selected the same location as where you have registered the actual on-premise data gateway-service.
For instance, if the installed gateway on your server is registered in the 'North Central US'-region, make sure that the 'On-premises Data Gateway'-resource has been created in that same region.
Kind Regards,
Maxim
Hi @bsaunders11,
Can you make it more specific please? It seems you didn't deploy an on-premises data gateway for Power BI. If so, I would suggest you go to support/forums/ for professional support.
Best Regards,
Dale
