Hey everyone,
I want to note on the front end that this has been working perfectly for months, until earlier this week.
Error I'm getting:
The credentials provided for the Web source are invalid. The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface. Please review the error message and provider documentation for further information and corrective action.
I have a dataset connected to APIs in Power BI. I handle the credentialing in the code, so I set it up to connect Anonymously with Public security in Desktop and in Service. In Service, I click the little box that tells it to skip test connection. For months, my scheduled refreshes have worked perfectly. I have not changed anything.
I am now getting the error above in Service. I can still refresh in Desktop just fine, which is how I know my credentials are not the actual problem. I have tried clearing the cache, deleting, republishing, and re-setting up the data sources. I am at a loss. I don't understand why this is all of a sudden giving me problems. Does anyone have any suggestions? Did Power BI update something that's causing this?

Thanks for the replies! When I tried to refresh this morning, it worked. Unfortunately, I don't think I did anything to cause this, I think it may have just been a weird bug that went away....

Hi @beccalkelley ,
The web source also supports connections using the On-premises data gateway.
You can try refreshing the dataset using the On-premises gateway.
