Connecting gateway to the InTune Data Warehouse

Hi,
It is a simple thing to connect to the InTune Datawarehouse from Power BI Desktop. The data source is OData and providing you have been granted organisational access to the InTune Data Warehouse using your windows credentials it connects without a problem.

So we build our report and publish it to the Power BI Service for automated refreshing of the dataset. What are the correct settings on the gateway data source?

Hi, @Anonymous 

If you connect to OData feed of on-premises service, after you publish Power BI Desktop file to Service, gateway is required when you refresh the dataset. 

If all your data is in the cloud, you don't need the on-premises gateway, you just need to verify the credentials.

You are correct. The issue that I had was caused by building a report that used additional DirectQuery datasources (Preview feature: Using DirectQuery for datasets and Azure Analysis Services (preview) - Power BI | Microsoft Docs) that precluded me from changing the credentials in the gateway.
