I can connect to and refresh data from my Azure database using Power BI desktop. I deploy the report to the portal, but am unable to enter the credentials to the same Azure database - it just hangs forever. Is there a firewall setting in Azure that needs to be enabled for Power Bi to access? This is an Import (not direct query).
I have other reports that connect to other Azure databases, with no issues.

Thanks for the suggestion. I opened a support ticket and was able to get it resolved. I was referencing the port number 1433 in my server name, which was working locally but not once it was deployed.
I can't reproduce your issue. I connect Azure databases (import mode) and publish it onto Power BI. I can edit the credential (Basic Authentication) properly. Ensure firewall rules for the Azure database are configured to "Allow access to Azure services". For more details, see: Azure SQL Database with DirectQuery.
