I was wondering if something like this is possible.
I am thinking about an embedded solution to run paginated reports from a web application. Everything is running on-prem except the reports. The caveat here is I want to convert the report into Excel on the server (service) and what's more to download it as a file. So, I think what I am asking is it possible to covert the stream that the server is returning into a file? Or ther are other ways of making it work? Please share your ideas.
Or another idea. Export it on the service, create a zip file there, and then download the zip?
Thanks

I think this is what you need? No experience with it but should do the trick:

No, I can't, at least at this point. My company doesn't allow individuals to buy PPU.
My problem is that currently I dont have a premium capacity to work on my solution. I am tying to see if I could use PowerBI server trial version installed locally. Can I simulate BI service environment using the Server?
