Classic map not showing in 'publish to web (public)' report

Hi !

I'm using the classic map visual on a report published on the web (public) :

When I open the report using a connexion from my work tenant or from my home pc, the map is displayed properly :

I've opened it using Chrome, edge, firefox, normal and inprivate connexion. Everything works fine.

However one of my coworker who is in another country (using a connexion from another tenant) tells me the map doesn't show. Here's what it looks like on his end :

We've looked for sticky slicers or other slicers conflicts but we found nothing.

Do you guys have any idea what's the problem ? Is it possible that his tenant security settings is blocking the map ?

Other pages of this report include matrix and card visuals which are displayed properly.

Thank you for your help

Hi @AnthNC ,

1. Browser Compatibility and Cache: Although you've tested across multiple browsers and modes, it's worth asking your coworker to clear their browser cache or try accessing the report from a different browser. Sometimes, cached data can cause display issues.

2. Tenant Security Settings: It's possible that tenant security settings could be affecting the visibility of the map visual. Since the map is not displaying for a user in a different tenant, there might be restrictions in place on their end that block certain types of content from being displayed. It would be helpful to know if they have any specific settings that might restrict external content or visuals.

3. Map Visual Dependencies: The classic map visual relies on external services (like Bing Maps) to render the map data. If the user's network or tenant policies block access to these services, the map won't display. You might want to check if there are any such restrictions in place.

4. Publish to Web Considerations: When you use the "Publish to web" feature, the data and visuals become publicly accessible. However, as mentioned in the Publish to web documentation, there are nuances to how data is cached and how updates are reflected. If the map data has been updated recently, ensure that enough time has passed for the cache to refresh.
