Changing Gateways

We recently wan into an issue that caused us to uninstall and re-install or On-Prem Gateway. We realized too late that we did not have the recovery key to resetup the gateway so we had to create a new one.

How do I get my data sets that are already on app.powerbi.com to use this new gateway instead of the old one which I have now deleted.

Hi @aoberlander,

You can sign in the new data gateway use your Power BI service account, then create the same data sources as created in the old data gateway. Go to Settings -> Datasets -> Gateway connection for each dataset, select the new data gateway. If it's DirectQuery or live connection, the new data gateway should be configured by the dataset automatically.
