Cannot set up: OnPrem and Vnet gateway in power bi service within one report in power bi

I have a report that uses OnPrem datasource, Azure SQL datasource and Databrciks datasource (Private)

in my local mashine refresh runs without any issues.

When publishing the report to the service, I get an error:

Data source error:Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources. Then reactivate scheduled refresh.

We use: OnPrem: gateway is set up and works fine.

AzureSQL: credentials, no issues

Databrciks (Private): Vnet gatway runs without any issues

is error is coming up after adding the databrciks datasource.

I have isolated the problem, when I remove one of the datasources that requires the on prem or vnet gateway the report refreshes fine.

The question is: can I have one report that can use both databrciks (Private-that requires Vnet gateway) with another datasource that is Onprem (That requires a gateway.)

as you can see here it says Use ab On-Premises OR VNet data gateway.

It doesn't say AND.

So my question is: is there a way to use both, I have tried many things, I also couldn't find any documentation on this partucalr issue.

Hi @bro10

you cannot use two gateways for the same dataset. When working with a semantic model in Power BI, all data sources within that dataset must utilize the same gateway.

Solved: 2 Gateways one Semantic Model - Microsoft Fabric Community

Work around would be to create 2 semantic model for each Gateway and then from your power bi desktop compose them via Direct Query connection into one Dataset.

Thanks a lot aj1973, that's what I did, I did have that one table in a separate pbix File, and I connected to it, I have also tried creating a datamart for that particular table and connect to it and it works fine, it's not strait forward but it it works for now, hopefully Microsoft will come up with a better and easier way to do it.
