Cannot Generate Public Embed Code

Hello

I am not sure if this has been answered already but i created a new report in powerbi desktop using an already pubished dataset but i when i try to get an embed link for that report i cannot see the option to embed for public view

Any help please

i ended up just recreating the entire report right there in powerbi service and then i was able to get the link.

Hi. There are two main reasons why you can't see that. One would be the PowerBi Admin disabling this feature for all users. The way you can use to check that is creating an empty Power Bi Desktop connected to a single simple source (like excel), publish the report and check if it has the option. If it doesn't then the admin has removed the feature.

If you do have the feature in the simple report, then your report has a limitation on the development that is not allowing the action. Sorry for the late response.

I am the Admin and i have been able embed other reports built on shared datasets. I am not sure why this one is an exception
