Hi @powerbihelp87 -You cannot disable Analyze in Excel within a Power BI App, you can control who has access to the app and what permissions are granted.Ensure users in the app have only Viewer permissions, which does not grant Build permissions (needed for Analyze in Excel).

Hi @powerbihelp87 , hello rajendraongole1, thank you for your prompt reply!
We can't modify permissions granted through an app directly from the Direct access tab of the semantic model.
We must first remove them from the app configuration.
Edit the app and unselect the relevant permissions on the Permissions tab of the app's configuration settings.
Republish the app.
Go to the Direct access tab of the semantic model's manage semantic model permissions page as described in Manage direct access.
The user still has the permissions granted via the app before update, but now they're not tied to the app (note that the parentheses are gone).
Now you can remove whatever permissions you desire.
After removing build permission of the group, all users in the group will not be able to use Analyze in excel.

I forgot that option but I cant remove build on an AD Group but can on other workspaces.
looks like under semantic models is where users appear
Hi @powerbihelp87 -Ok, you can add it, For workspaces tied to an Active Directory group, you might not have granular control over certain aspects like removing build permissions directly from AD Groups within the Power BI UI. If you cannot remove build permissions specifically for AD Groups, it could be because of group-based access, or the workspace settings may have been inherited from the AD group.
Hope this details helps.
