Can't export matrix to excel - File couldn't be created

Hi,

I'm having trouble understanding what is happening with my exports. I'm able to perfectly export summarized data from the first matrix (prntscreen) on the published version but i'm unable to export the 2nd matrix, which is the one i really need.
The values are all measures and the lines are just fields from tables, all connected. Any help understanding as to why this is happenning would be useful!

1st matrix - no problems1st matrix - no problems

2nd matrix - can't export2nd matrix - can't export

errorerror

Thank you in advance

Hi, @Gonqq

Does this issue happen to one report or all reports? , Was the second matrix created on the desktop or in the service? Do you export data from the desktop or from the service?

I think you should first check these things first:

  1. If the Power BI admins of your tenant have disabled the “export of data” option in the Admin portal.
  2. Do you have the Build permission to the underlying dataset of this report?
  3. Did the report designer has disabled this feature.
  4. Is the version older than 2016?
  5. If the tables in the model don't have a unique key.

You can check and avoid these things that may lead to the data exporting error.

If you still can not solve this problem after checking things, you can take a look at this limitation document to find if your report has other problems:

Limitations and considerations

Hope this helps.
