Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has experieced very poor performance when using calculation groups with analyze in excel.
A matrix visual in Power BI service that takes about 5 seconds to refresh takes more than a minute when exactly the same view is created in Excel Pivot table using Analyze in Excel.
It seems that calculation groups aren't optimised for Analyze in Excel, unless I am doing something wrong
Thanks
Nishant
Excel produces MDX queries, on the other hand, Power BI produces DAX queries towards the Power BI dataset.
Moreover, unlike MDX queries, DAX queries are optimized by the use of a fusion process which includes in a single storage engine request
Hi, @Nishantjain
Please refer to this document about Analyze in excel.
