Hi,
I have created Report in PowerBI Desktop using Azure SQL Analysis, after published that report it failed to opened it in PowerBI Service.
Please error message I got;
I have checked dataset is connected through correct credentials. Not sure why i am not able to connect dataset.
Any help would appreciated!
Thanks
Hi @damit23183 ,
Based on the error message, this error occurs when the user connecting to AS does not have access to the AS database, cube and model.
Please check whether you have configured gateway correctly for it if you use Live connection mode.
You can also refer this simliar issue: Couldn't load the model schema

Hi,
Thank you for responding.
This is Azure SQL analysis so i think we dont need gateway for that as we need gateway for on_prem only.
On connection side, i did confirmed it is connected and i can access all visuals on PowerbI desktop.
THanks
Hi @damit23183 ,
Have you updated the credentials on the service as well? Are you using a gateway and what the credentials on the gateway? Are there any queries/tables in the report that have different permissions - not just the connection? Is RLS turned on in some way?
The credentials might all be right, but according to this document, https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/connect-data/desktop-analysis-services-tabular-data if the user doesn't have access to the model, ou will get this error as well.
