Automatic update of reports in Power BI applications

Hello,

I have a report in a workspace in PowerBI Services that gets autimatically updated with the latest data every day. However, in the application, the data is not automatically updated. Is it possible to configure the application so the reports is automatically up to date with the latest data?

You are conflating a couple of concepts.

Reports:  Reports can get (re)published to the service, or modified there

Apps:  can get created or updated (for example to accommodate permission changes)

Datasets:  can get refreshed manually, per schedule, or via API.

Please clarify which of these processes you mean.

Thank you both for your answers, it is all clear now and the applications do get refreshed every day as per the data sets schedule.

Hi @mguerin63 ,

Based on my testing, the dashboards in the application will automatically display the latest data when the datasets are refreshed successfully.

But for the reports in the application, we need to manually refresh or refresh the browser page to clear cache and load the latest data.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information or the expected result you expect. Let me know immediately, looking forward to your reply.
