App with multiple audiences with DLs that have other embedded DLs

Hi All,

I've published an app with multiple reports.

I've created two audiences.

Audience 1 has access to Reports 1,2,3,4 and I have added a specific DL, let's call it DL-All. However, DL-All is made up of individuals and other embedded DLs.

E.g. DL-All = DL1(person5, person,6), DL2(DL4, DL5, person7,person8), DL3, person1, person2, person3, person4

Person2 did not have issues and did not have to request access. Person5 did have to request access even though they were under the DL-All umbrella but within DL1. Is this working as designed? Do I have to specify each separate DL, even the embedded ones?

Audience 2 has access to reports 2,3 and anyone that's not in DL-All should technically have to request access.

Hi @ce138867 ,

Please check that Person5 has been added to DL1 correctly. I created DL1 with Person1 as a member and then I created DL2 with DL1 as a member.By adding DL2 in the audience, Person1 is able to view the reports in the application without any problem. If there is still an issue with no permissions, you can create a Person group that contains all users you need instead of doing a nested operation.

Thanks @Anonymous . You were correct that our nested DL's were not set up correctly to allow everyone in the parent DL to see the reports. Thanks for validating this!
