I have a c# script that opens an excel file connected to a Power BI datasource. It works wonderfully from my machine. It throws the following error when deployed to a production server The connection failed because user credentials are needed and sign-in UI is not allowed. The user is different on the production server but has administrative rights on the Power BI dataset/workspace. I have downloaded the Analyze in Excel updates hoping that would be the fix (recommended on another thread) but it did not work. I am open to any ideas as what to try next, there aren't many ex
I am running MSOLAP.8 (v2022.160.61.18) in the connection file. The file is dated from this month.
I tried swapping the adal.dll to an earlier version as suggested in the 2nd link with no change in behavior. Nothing is showing in the event logs that I can see. What is this error trying to tell me?

Please try to bring your computer's OLE DB provider client library up to date.
