Hi all,
I have 2 excel files connected to the same semantic model in Power BI. The excel files are reports created from the semantic model.
I recently made some changes to the semantic model, and then tried to refresh the excel files.
One file refreshed fine, and I was able to update slicers no problem.
The second file however, either, won't complete the refresh when I click refresh all, or, will complete the refresh when I change a slicer, but won't pull in the changes in the semantic model.
I have tried to copy one of the pivots from the failing file to the file that works, but when i go to connect the slicer, I get a error
'Pivot table report is invalid. Try Refreshing the data'
Odd thing is, the pivot table copied to the working file actually refreshes ok.
So, main issue I want to solver is why won't one of the excel files pick up changes in the semantics model when refreshed.

I solved my issue,
Seems that the existing slicers in the file that wasnt working were the issue.
Once I removed and specific slicer, saved the file and did a full refresh the changes in the semantic model came in.
I was then able to add the new slicer to the report.
