Adding a time and date stamp when a matrix visual is exported from the app section of PBI Service

I have a series of reports that are located in the 'App' section of the Power BI Service. I would like to configure the visuals in the reports to show a time and date stamp (of the time of the user export) on the excel document which is produced.

The visuals are matrices and tables - ideally would like the time and date stamp to be the top row of the exported excel document. But I would consider alternative formats if that is not possible.

I cannot see there is a native PBI functionality for this, but does anyone have any ideas of a workaround?

Many thanks.

Hi @JadeM

You can add a measure and a card to you report

on Export the date and time will be displayed in Excel. Of course adjust the UTC as you wish

You can also use Power Query to add a card in your report

let
Source = Table(),
#"Converted to Table" = #table(1, {{Source}}),
#"Renamed Columns" = Table.RenameColumns(#"Converted to Table",{{"Column1", "Date and Time now"}}),
#"Changed Type" = Table.TransformColumnTypes(#"Renamed Columns",{{"Date and Time now", type datetime}})
in
#"Changed Type"
