Hi
I'm need to access a data source which is hosted in another tenant: It's a on-prem SQL Server which is hosted by another company, so it's in another tenant than me. I know they have a gateway which they use internally, but I can't figure out how to access it from my side. What needs to be configured from me to access it, if that's the way to go? Or are there any other alternatives to access a on-prem server in another tenat?

You may try connect to an external SQL Server by IP address, using (IP,Port) for the Server field in Power BI Desktop.
You can check this article about how to identify SQL Server TCP IP port.

You need to create a VPN connection into their network.
Yeah, I can get access for a local Power BI desktop setup, but I want to publish that report to our cloud with an automated refresh scheduel. How would one go about setting up a VPN for the cloud connection?
