AWS RDS PostgresSQL DB Direct Query with on-premise gateway connection in Power BI service

Dear All,

I have AWS RDS PostgresSQL , want to use Direct Query with Power BI service (But , It works well with Power BI desktop).

Is it possible ???

If possible , what is the way?

1) On-premise gateway?

2)Without On-Premise Gateway?

I am not sure whether on-premise gateway allows Direct-query option??

Hi @BalaKrish ,

On-Premise Gateway acts as a bridge between on-premises data (data that isn't in the cloud) and Power BI Service. It's not about the connection mode. It does not seem to support to use Power BI Service to connect PostgresSQL directly at present, but you can use Power BI Desktop to connect PostgresSQL and then publish it to Power BI Service.
