We have an application that is deploying out a PBIX file to the web service via the API. The source for the report is a set of files in BLOB storage. We have generated a SAS and used that while setting up the connection before deploying out. However, once its deployed, it still wants a user to enter the credentials for the datasource in the web service. The whole point of using the SAS is so we dont have to have a user enter credentials. We are deploying this out to a number of workspaces and dont want to have to provide the end users with credentials or permissions to access the BLOB files.
Anyone know of a way to have Power BI access these files in BLOB without having to have an end user go in and update the datasource credentials in the service?
Thanks.
Hi @Anonymous ,
You could get a Premium license, other users can view the report you share directly.
The workspaces we are creating and deploying to via the API are on premium capacity.
