Hi, we have created an API generated dataset between Power BI and Jedox, doing this does not seem to allow the creation of hierachies, can anyone suggest other workarounds. Caught between doing data loads (which have the size limits but full functionality) and using direct query to already well structured data. Thanks
Hi @pqmanru,
Are you using Power BI Rest API to generate a dataset in service which loads data from Jedox? Or maybe you have generated a API which gets data from Jedox, now you need to connect to this API in Power BI desktop?
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
Hi Yuliana
we have an instance of Jedox that has our data well structured, a Direct Query connection from Jedox to Power BI has been made to the Power BI Service and a dataset created. I would then like to build hierarchies on this in BI to create reports but the normal hierachy functionality is not available when doing things this way and I would like to know if there is another way of using direct query and then use the hierachy function in BI?
Thank you
