AAS Model Embedded Report

Hi all,

I have an embedded PowerBI report built on top of an AAS model which just fails to run. It was working fine when I was using it via import mode, but when the mode was changed to Live Connection, the report just won't run. There is no RLS which actually filters the data, but since "https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/developer/embedded/embedded-row-level-security#customdata-... says that we have to use RLS in order to embed the report, I created a role and added members to it. Unsure if I am supposed to write a DAX query to filter data anywhere? 

Below is the error:

11:12:36:747 USER_DEBUG [153]|DEBUG|Body: {"error":{"code":"InvalidRequest","message":"Creating embed token for accessing dataset *Dataset ID* requires effective identity to be provided"}}

I tried using effective identity, but I'm not sure if I'm passing the correct parameters.
Also, still unsure about the CustomData() function. And if so, where to use it? What are the modifications and whrere will they be implemented? 

Stuck with this issue for about 2 months to no avail. Is there a working sample code which I can refer to make this work?

So how do you use CustomData() function? Do you follow this step to set it up?
